I have lectured at Sheffield Hallam University for 29 years in Film, Media and Cultural Studies and I have recently ‘being retired’ albeit with the ‘sweetener’ of Emerita.  I will continue to roam museums of cinema (An international Study of Museums of Cinema, Routledge 2021) and ethnographic and anthropological colonial archives in search of photographs and films to tell the complicated visual story of the violence carried out by colonial imperial nations. Right now, I am researching audio-visual heritage from the Pitt Rivers Museum in Oxford, produced by early women anthropologists of the 1920s and 1930s.
